What Is Aromatherapy?

For those who are unaware of this term, it is something that all we humans are aware of because of our sense of smell. The therapy is practiced using aromatic oils made out of plant extracts. The therapy falls in the branch of Complementary and Alternative medicine used primarily for the purpose of healing. We practice the therapy unconsciously when we don an aromatic perfume to de stress ourselves or soothe our moods, or in clinical process like pharmacology and others.

AromatherapyThe use of oils, candles and incense sticks coupled with good ambiance proved healthy food to the energy bodies of the individual. The healing in this process is done by cleaning the aura and chakras of the person. This provides a union of mind, body and soul and balances the energy around the person.

Aromatherapy has its roots in the history of France .The practice of massage using oils forms a part of mainstream medicine there. In several other countries like United States, Russia, the therapy is practiced but has not gained the valid recognition.

Also known as the “touchy feely”, the therapy using the scents stimulate the cells of the brain and the emotional bodies of the person. When it is used on the skin it uses the sense of touch also and helps in killing microbes and fungi.
